Job vacancy at IM/SOIR Moldova: Program coordinator for the Organizational Development Programme
18 Decembrie 2008 — IM is a Swedish aid organization fighting and exposing poverty and exclusion. The organization was founded in 1938 and is active in 15 countries worldwide. IM is a member based organization and enjoys a large recognition in Sweden.(Further details at http://www.manniskohjalp.se/en/ ) SOIR Moldova is the Field Office of IM in Moldova and is active nationally since 2003. SOIR Moldova is running projects in collaboration with local partner organisation and in the following fields: rural community development, domestic violence and social integration of people with disabilities. This is complemented by small grants for humanitarian assistance. For the period 2009-2012 the activity of SOIR Moldova is structured on three main programmes: DisAB – Social integration of people with disabilities, DeCoR – Rural community development and DevO – Organizational development. The organizational development programme is meant as a support to the other two programmes and will address all the partners involved. SOIR Moldova is presently looking for a qualified person to fill in the newly opened position of Program coordinator for organizational development. Main tasks/ responsibilities: * To further develop and implement the newly created organizational development programme (DevO) * To asses SOIR partners’ organizational capacities and needs * To support and follow-up SOIR partners’ organizational developments * To write reports and project/program applications * To travel extensively within Moldova and perform regular field visits * To permanently coordinate with the other two program coordinators * To work closely with SOIR’ s financial officer when it comes to the financial management of the partner organizations * To support the Area Director in the strategic planning of IM’s activities in Moldova * To offer support to the IM’s Head Office in Lund (Sweden) when requested * To permanently develop and/or update his/her professional knowledge and skills * To undertake other tasks assigned by the Area Director when necessary * To contribute to the running of SOIR office the solving of daily practical matters Requirements: a) Competencies: Ø Good analytical skills Ø Critical and strategic thinking Ø Good understanding of the development sector in Moldova Ø In-depth knowledge of organizational development Ø Very good knowledge of project management (PCM and LFA) Ø Very good training skills and familiarity with training methodology Ø Ability to develop and execute baseline and evaluation studies Ø Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to empower and motivate local partners Ø Capacity to work independently and plan ones own work, as well as very good cooperation skills and team player attitude Ø Ability to handle multiple tasks Ø Very good oral and written communication skills Ø Very good representation skills b) Education: Ø Relevant university education, preferably in the social sector (sociology, psychology, political science, law, organizational development) Ø Relevant post-graduate courses and specializations in the field of organizational development c) Experience: Ø Relevant experience from the development sector in Moldova Ø Documented working experience in the field of organizational development Ø International experience is a plus d) Languages: Ø Excellent knowledge of Romanian, Russian and English Ø Knowledge of Swedish is a plus e) Driving licence: driving licence, B category, is a must f) Computer skills: very good computer skills (Word, Excel, Power Point, internet) Interested applicants should send Cover letter and CV at diana.ghinea@manniskohjalp.se, no later than December 31, 2008.
