Together for a European Future”: Chisinau hosts the Eastern Partnership Civil Forum
Chișinău, 4 Octombrie 2013 — Over 200 representatives of non governmental organizations and officials from Eastern Partnership countries, representatives of the European Commission and of the EU Governments get together at Chisinau on October 4-5, 2013 in the Eastern Partnership Civil Forum held under the title „Together for a European Future”.
The agenda of the Eastern Partnership Civil Forum comprises issues on future of civil society in the context of Association Agreement: before the summit from Vilnius and after; index of European Integration; youth policies and human rights; social dialogue, etc.
Thus, this reunion which is attended by European Commissioner for Enlargement and Neighborhood Policy Štefan Füle is a platform of dialogue about Eastern Partnership achievements and contribution of the civil society to its development. On the eve of the Forum, the European Commissioner Štefan Füle declared at Chisinau that the efforts of the Republic of Moldova to apply European Union values make this country be a leader in Eastern Partnership.
Within the panel sessions of the Forum, the delegates will tackle many priorities and initiatives inclusively issues about elections, media freedom, and corruption combat and social policies.
The 5th Annual Meeting of the Eastern Partnership Civil Forum is organized with the support of the European Commission / the European External Action Service, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration and Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania.
