Local Project Coordinator IT
23 Iulie 2012 — The Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SCD) supports the Moldovan Health Care System in the area of perinatology and pediatric emergency. Alongside, the ongoing projects have committed themselves to building up a Health Technology Management (HTM) system. In this context, an open source web-based information system for the planning and management of medical equipment was introduced. Upon the request of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Moldova (MoH), SDC mandated the Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute (Swiss TPH) to support the scaling-up the current IT system to the national level in the frame of a 18 months project.
The Swiss TPH is seeking to fill the position of a

Local Project Coordinator IT

who shall coordinate the project component “Development of a National Open Source Information and Management System for Medical Devices in Moldova” beginning from 01 September 2012 or as per agreement.

The Local Project Coordinator IT shall:
• Collaborate closely with the Swiss TPH project manager and partners for coordination of the project, planning and monitoring the project activities;
• Liaise with the local counterparts: SDC, MoH, the Agency for Medicines and other national partners/stakeholders to agree upon and to endorse project priorities;
• Provide support in formalizing / approval by the MoH of the project activities, materials produced, results of the studies conducted within the project;
• Together with the project manager, monitor and analyze the project indicators;
• Provide support in organizing various events (training workshops, meetings etc) in the eHealth field at national and regional levels;
• Write different reports, including evaluation of infrastructure, technical specifications and overall technical design, workshop or training reports etc;
• Ensure the financial administration of local funds for the project implementation

Requirements:
• Background in (biomedical) engineering, medicine and/or modern Information and Communication Technologies (ICT);
• At least 5 years of experience in carrying out activities or projects related to the (health) information systems;
• Familiarity with the Moldovan health care sector and respective decision-making processes related to assessments, procurement etc;
• Good understanding of Hard- and Software products for the health sector, i.e. knowledge of medical devices would be an advantage;
• Very good oral and written command of Romanian, English and Russian would be an asset.
