Chisinau, 4 Septembrie 2014 — The Institute of Mental Health and Addiction of Netherlands (Trimbos Institute) was contracted by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) as the leader of a consortium mandated to implement the project “Support to the Reform of Mental Health Services in Moldova" (2014-2018). The overall goal of the project is to support the mental health system reform in Moldova with revised legal and regulatory framework and financial mechanisms, based on the model of community mental health services that will be developed, tested and implemented in 4 districts.

For the implementation of the project, the Trimbos Institute sets up a Project Implementation Unit (PIU) in Moldova led by a local project manager.

The main responsibilities of the Local Project Manager include:
• Manage the project implementation according to the project document and logframe;
• Organise, manage and supervise the activity of the PIU staff;
• Coordinate activities with SDC Moldova and other local, national and international partners;
• Draft operational and financial reports.

Qualifications and skills required:
• Master degree in relevant fields (e.g. management and administration, law, social sciences, public health);
• Minimum 5 years of experience in project management and coordination (experience in managing international projects is an asset).
• Sound understanding of work in public policy, preferably in the field of health; excellent teamwork and staff managing skills; ability to work effectively with partners; excellent analytical, writing and networking skills, flexibility.
• Fluent in the Romanian, English and Russian languages (written and spoken)
• Proficient in standard computer software (MS Office, Outlook, other as relevant).
